People don’t just identify as ‘he’ or ‘she’. Some people identify as ‘they’, ‘per’, ‘xe’, ‘fae’, ‘ve’, ‘zie’… we could go on.
That’s why if you’re texting or emailing a friend, client or colleague you need to make sure you’re not misgendering them in your communications. After all, you don’t want to offend anyone, even if it is by accident.

Let’s say you’re a woman. Your colleague sends a group email where they keep referring to you as ‘he.’ You’d be pretty angry, right?

Now imagine you’re a different woman. Your colleague does the same thing but keeps referring to you as ‘she’ when you identify as ‘xe’. That same upset and anger would present itself.

Think you don’t know anyone who doesn’t identify as he or she?
Have you even asked?

A recent study has shown that over a third of the population identify as the gender ‘other’, ‘both’ or ‘neither.’ This is why third person pronouns, or gender pronouns are coming back into our vocabulary. Yes, coming back. They first appeared in the English language back in the 1300’s.

We know it can be confusing. There’s a lot of different gender pronouns and it can be hard to get your head around them all. You may have multiple staff members, students or friends that all identify differently, but not to worry.

The Right Pronoun is a simple and speedy way to make any form of communication you have written or want to pass on, inclusive. It doesn’t matter if it’s a text, an email, a questionnaire or even a 20-page on-boarding contract, The Right Pronoun will convert all contentious gender-referencing pronouns in an instant.

It’s literally as simple as copy, paste and click.
